As we observe the world around us today, we should take notice of this true fact. Spiritual darkness is on the increase as corruption and rebelliousness against God is increasing, it is enlarging and manifesting itself continually. This condition seems to be of a mind-set without restraint. The fruit of this immoral corruptible world is becoming, in all appearances and action, a great harvest of increased darkness. The governments of this world, for the most part, are allowing for laws and by-laws to be established which increasingly support their immoral, corrupt life-styles. These life-styles are manifesting from a nature that loves darkness rather than light. Why do they love darkness, even as scripture says, because their deeds are evil? Why has the world become such a place where most now call good – evil and evil – good?
While we have a knowing that God’s adversary, as a roaring lion, seeks to devour and deceive humankind, we ask the following question. Is and has the modern-day church done its part in becoming the agency God desires it to be in lightening up the darkened world? If not, why? 1 Cor. 2:9, “But as it is written: Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him”. Could this be part of the problem? Has humanity become so blind, without God given knowledge, that they have lost sight of God’s will and purpose for creation. Sinful man has remained or has become ignorant concerning what God has accomplished for them in Christ.
Since knowledge of the things of God are more from a spiritual level than an intellectual realm, man cannot glory in nor receive God’s true purpose in any political, economic, social, educational nor carnal religious methods or accommodations. All these activities, because of man’s carnal nature, serve only to increase darkness rather than promoting Gods light. Acts 4:12 declares, “Nor is there salvation in any other [Jesus alone], for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved”. In Him, Christ Jesus, and in Him alone dwells the light which dispels darkness. In receiving His light, man may then cease from his blindness. With opened eyes a people can begin to know the true God Who restores unto man, God’s will and purpose. Herein, man can receive a new nature by the indwelling sanctifying Holy Spirit of promise.
God’s new natured man is one who is no longer bound to the fallen Adamic nature, the carnal man who has become a prisoner to this natural world. A prisoner who responds largely to that which the natural world demands. 1 Cor. 2:14 reveals clearly, “But the natural man does not receive the things of the spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned”. Scripture tells us that the natural man is unregenerate and devoid of the Holy Spirit, without which there is no appreciation for the things of God, which alone is the light of the world. Meanwhile, the spiritual man is regenerate and can possess spiritual maturity with a nature that response to the light of God’s truth and wisdom.
In the beginning, when darkness was upon the face of the deep, while the earth was without form and void, God’s Spirit hovered over it as God begin to speak in Gen. 1:3, “Then God said, let there be light, and there was light”. Likewise, God is speaking today to the darkened groups of nations and individuals which dwell upon the earth. Unto those who are willing to hear, God is declaring, “let there be light”, and God begins an increasing manifestation of the presence of spiritual illumination. This illumination is the revelation of God’s will and purpose. In this illumination, as God’s Word declares in Psalms 82:1a, “God stands in the congregation of the mighty; …”.
Know that God has a dwelling place. Know that even now, dwelling upon the earth, God has and is raising up in a remnant of mighty men of valor. These are men whose sole purpose is to lay down their lives for the cause of Christ. What is the cause of Christ? From scripture, we know that His will and purpose is to establish for Himself a kingdom wherein righteousness dwells. It is through these mighty men that God does now stand, meaning that He has a remnant that now stand in the presence of God. These are permanent in their standing, while establishing God’s kingdom on earth. This is a kingdom which shall not be moved, eternal in its nature and has God’s seal placed upon it, becoming the dwelling place of God in the earth. This is also speaking of a birthing, which now makes God the eternal Father to this remnant of Priest/Kings who are now living in the house, the kingdom of God.
How is it that a people can come into such a dwelling place with God? Try repentance through humility and receive the Holy Spirit, therein becoming the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit who then instructs, teaches and chastises to bring about a birth of holiness. This holiness matures because of complete obedience to Him alone. Not through immature organizational structures that restrict God’s presence, but through love of that which the Father is. Think it not strange that God, as a Father, would discipline His children. Note that all discipline must begin with instruction. Instructions given from the Father, when obeyed, promotes Godliness until a new nature of a Christ like portion is received and matured. Heb. 12:9, “Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the father of spirits and live?”
Can we not see the truth revealed as to a family change? We are no longer to yield or submit ourselves to the natural bloodline and its curse, as coming from our earthly fathers. Note also, that instructions as they come from our church fathers will also become restrictive when they override the true voice of God’s presence This is speaking to us that we, by the birthing of a renewed spirit within us, are no longer legally a part of the cursed life-styles of the fallen world. Nay, but rather we now have a heavenly Father who is our source of life. Matt. 23:9, “Do not call anyone on earth your father; for one is your father, He who is in heaven”. This reveals that a new born remnant of people are no longer prisoners to a sin cursed world and its nature. These are now citizens of the heavens because they have become and are the off-spring of a heavenly father. Does this not move us from a earthly mind-set into a heavenly realm of a Christ life.
Does this mean we are no longer offspring of the earth? Does this mean that a people can now become a part of a kingdom that is heavenly in nature, even while still walking upon this earth? Scripture makes us aware that, unto those who pass on through the death of this physical body, the body returns to the dust from which it came, while the spirit returns to God. Ecclesiastes 12:7, “Then the dust [body] will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it”. Nevertheless, there are now a people, because of God’s time and season, who shall claim and receive from God a renewed body, a glorified body, wherein they shall never know physical death, that is the grave. Does not God’s Word assure us that His plan and purpose, from the beginning, is to live, to not know death? Death is but the wages of sin so consider that now we are living in the time of the harvest.
Even now, a first-fruits remnant is beginning to appear who are experiencing the reality of true life, life as it comes from God to affect the whole man in spirit, soul and body. Psalms 36:7-9, “How precious is Your loving-kindness, O God! Therefore, the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of your house, and you give them drink from the river of your pleasures. For with you is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light”. “Loving-kindness” as spoken of above, speaks of steadfast love, mercy, goodness, and unfailing love while being equivalent to the word “grace” as spoken in the New Testament. With Jesus being the light of the world, while standing in Him, we not only see Him in light, but He stands in us as the light.
Friends, the Apostle Paul, wrote for us in 1 Cor. 13:2 that the church of the living God would finally mature until they could see Him face-to-face, “For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known”. This speaks to us of a departure from just knowing about the Christ on a limited in-part basis. This speaks to us of a church that, through the maturing processes of the Holy Spirit, come to know Him in a full measure of the calling, His purpose for each vessel. In this, we shall see Christ as He is and become a part of His body, our created purpose. Herein is the unity of the body of Christ, manifesting God unto the world until His kingdom is established in a full measure. This kingdom shall cover the earth and all that is upon it. Herein the knowledge of God will be full, instantaneously and suddenly manifested.
Let us remember that God instituted a time from within Himself that He called “the Day of Atonement”. This day is of an everlasting covenant, which God shall always remember. A covenant made, not because of the man, but because of that which God is. Ezekiel 16:60-63, “Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish an everlasting covenant with you. Then you shall know that I am the Lord, that you may remember and be ashamed, and never open your mouth anymore because of your shame, when I provide you an atonement for all you have done, says the Lord God”.
This atonement, an everlasting covenant, is now possible because it is based on a new heart, a new spirit and soul. What happens on the Day of Atonement? Is it not so that on this day, the High Priest could now approach the presence of God Who rested behind the veil? On this day, the High Priest moved behind the veil into the Holy of Holies. As he moved into this place of God’s Shekinah presence, he takes with him the golden censer of the altar of incense which is sprinkled with blood while having burning incense to ascend before God. This is also the piece of furniture that represents the prayers of the saints in sacrificial praise and worship. It also represents the ultimate sacrifice, a dying to self, and the sin nature, totally, to be birthed into God’s Holy presence. In addition, on God’s fiftieth year Jubilee Day of Atonement, freedom from all former bondages release unto us freedom and a restoration back to the inheritance given by God to us in the beginning. Heb. 9:3-4, “And behind the second veil, the part of the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of All, which is the golden censer [altar of incense] and the ark of the covenant…”.
Is this time, this Day of Atonement, now upon the church? Is a remnant of God’s people now moving behind the veil into the Holy of Holies? Note that the messengers of God have been holding back the four winds of destruction sent against the world until the Holy Spirit Seals His people in the forehead, a receiving of the mind of Christ. Rev. 7:1-3, “After these things I saw four angels standing of the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree. Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, saying, do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on the foreheads [mind of Christ]”.
Do we not see a movement taking place among the spiritual dimensions of God today? A movement that is bringing change, a change such as the church has never known or seen it before. This change is necessary because apostasy and darkness seem to be on the increase. But, meanwhile a sealing, a new mind-set is being established among a remnant of people who are the called, chosen, and justified ones. These are beginning to know the glorifying of God’s presence, enabling them to establish God’s kingdom on the earth. In this we hear a sound, Rev. 22:17, “The Spirit and the bride say, come! And let him who hears say, Come! And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires let him take the water of life freely”. A people are finding God’s approval. In this approval, they are manifesting the Christ and His nature unto creation.
