“Judgment, but Restoration”

Man, when he lost sight of God in the Garden of Eden he begins wondering the earth as strangers. Meanwhile God’s continual purpose then as it still is now being to reveal Himself to all His creation. This God has done as He saves creation first through Noah, then to call forth Abraham by separating him from his family and friends. In this manner, God continued His purpose and process of restoration. Restoration is the restoring of, or bringing forth if you will, of mankind back into his original state, but now with a gained experience of learning to love God more than God’s creation. That is to say, man having traveling down the road of knowing the curse, of being separated from God because of seeking to became his own god, to now become familiar with the needed sacrifice made through Jesus Christ, God’s ordained Savior for mankind.

In this process, with understanding being a line upon line and precept upon precept concept, it is given to creation as God calls, chooses, reveals and separates unto Himself that same creation. In this, we can know God’s order of restoration, the resurrection of the whole man as God declares and promotes. This order of God’s divine government continues from the beginning of man through, first the natural order and then the spiritual order. It continues until the full purpose of God is fully and finally finished, man made into the fullness of God’s will and purpose, a people in His likeness and image.

In this purpose and process, God first relates to man in the natural order. According to this purpose, God called forth Abraham to birth through him a natural kingdom that would reveal God after the order of obedience to written laws. This covenant is that which is also called “a covenant with sin and death”. This covenant after written laws, as Paul declares, was to vanish away. Heb. 8:13, “In that He says, a new covenant, He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away”.

God chose Israel to be His kingdom of natural people in whom He called and purposed, used as a type, an example and a shadow to increase further relations with His creation. God’s purpose, in the old covenant among the natural people of Abraham, was to reveal to them and through them to all creation, man’s inability to obey God’s governmental laws as they live according to the appetites of the natural man. Understand that the natural kingdoms of people are but a “sensual” people who cannot receive nor obey the spiritual things of God. 1 Cor. 2:14, “But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned”.

Humanity in its natural standing, individually or as a group of great numbers, cannot obey nor be the true expression of God. That is to say, natural people cannot of themselves, become a people in the likeness and image of God. The word “sensual” above is a word from the Greek “psuchikos”, denoting “belonging to the natural or physical, the unspiritual”. It is living in the domain of the five senses and concerned only with this natural life and its affairs. Being sensual is the condition of entertainment by the use of the natural mind with all its lusts, illicit desires, and unclean practices that open up a person to the demonic orders. James 3:15-16 states this truth, “This wisdom [natural] does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, and demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there”.

Thus, we conclude, we have a natural kingdom manifesting through the natural offspring of Abraham, ruled over by the governmental laws of God. However, this natural kingdom, throughout the pages of the Bible reveals the inability of the natural man to obey these laws of God. These laws that come forth from the nature of God, served only to reveal that because of natural man’s corrupt nature and his weaknesses, he is unable to obey these laws of God. Herein, man remains a failure, man continues to miss the mark and falls short in his natural ability to obey and become a creation after God’s own likeness and image. Why is this so? Because the natural man’s nature is a fallen nature, it is dead to God and unable to keep God’s laws. Note 1 Tim. 1:9-10, “Knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, for fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine”. “Sound doctrine” speaks of a soundness of the faith that only comes through Jesus Christ and his death on the cross, plus His resurrection on the third day.

Through these things already stated, we can see that the natural kingdom was through Abraham’s family and used by God as a stepping-stone into something far greater than the natural man could ever walk in. In this, through the years of dealing with the children of Israel, God reveals an eternal truth. That is to say, the natural flesh man will never be able to fulfill God’s purpose. God purposed also to reveal to man that in his fallen condition he is unable to obey and live righteous while under the law of sin and death. Rom. 8:2-3 & 6-8, “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it is weak through the flesh, God did by sending His Own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh. … For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal [fleshly] mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God”.

The time of the law given to rule over the fleshly kingdom of natural man, has accomplished its purpose and is now to pass away. In Christ Jesus, the order of the spiritual man is now present and available to bring total change to the man, God’s creation. When speaking this truth to humanity, concerning the law of sin and death, it means that the spiritual kingdom of God is now come to replace the natural kingdom that has become obsolete.

From the day of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit among the upper-room crowd, God’s spiritual order has been available and has become God’s present tense order of the day. That is to say, that God, in His dealings with His created man, is now to be of a spiritual order, an order in which God now reveals Himself to receiving man by the Holy Spirit. This revealing is no longer through a law written on tablets of stone, but by the Holy Spirit living within as a life giving government, Christ nature. By receiving of the Holy Spirit, man would have within himself the power to know God and obey Him in the things of God from a spiritual standpoint. Luke 24:49 states, “Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high”. “Power from on high” speaks of the Holy Spirits fullness. This promise of the Father as experienced at Pentecost is still available for man today. At Jesus’ instructions, all believers can now ask of Him and receive this Holy Spirit experience of Pentecost. Herein God will fill them with His Spirit that each one may be empowered for their mission in serving Him. This spiritual infilling is that same supernatural power that Jesus used during His earth mission, the same Holy Spirit given to those who are willing to receive Him into their hearts that they might follow Him.

With God’s spiritual order for man coming on the Day of Pentecost and with it remaining and available for men today, God’s purpose is for men to move out from under the covenant of the law of sin and death into the covenant of life. This change is God’s new covenant by the power of the Holy Spirit through the workings of Jesus on the cross and His resurrection. This change is that the old fallen man who is dead to God, having his soul resurrected from death to becoming a living soul wherein God writes His nature. (Read Heb. 8:7-13) Why then, with all that God has given and made available to man, does humanity, for the most part, continue to live under the obsolete old covenant? Why do those under the banner of “the Christian Community” continue to live under the obsolete old covenant, the law of sin and death? For this cause, that which is becoming evident to the entire world, God finds it necessary to bring judgment to this powerless church. 2 Tim. 3:5-7, Having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away [what about your church associates and associations]? For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women [speaking of Christian churches filled with fleshly-minded men and women] loaded down with sins [anything that results from living under the law of sin and death, the old covenant] and led away by various lusts [all that is promoted through self and self’s purpose driven and humanistic methods for church growth, individually and collectively], always learning but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth”.

Again, in asking why it is necessary for judgment to come consider that even as it came to the natural house of Abraham, the children of Israel, it comes to purify a people in order to enable them to stand in God’s holy presence. Friends, those things outside of God’s new covenant with man, those things that are outside of what God brought to man through Jesus Christ on the cross, will bring forth nothing but spiritual death. With this spiritual death being very noticeable among the Christian community, God is even now speaking to men that it is necessary for them to take advantage of God’s purification process. Herein, let us take notice of some of God’s dealings with natural Israel because of the abominations that they entered into. Just as God responded to the abominations that were in natural Israel, He will respond in the same way to the abominations that are in today’s Christian community. (Read and study Ezekiel 16:1-32).

The apple of God’s eye, first Israel and now the church is living in a sinful perverse condition. Therefore, they are now waiting for God to pick them up, to cleanse, dress and make them beautiful. Just as natural Israel fell away, the church has fallen away from God because they have left their first love. Just as natural Israel built for themselves high places, the manmade church has also built cathedrals and arenas wherein they display themselves as a harlot in God’s eyes. The power of His presence that God imparted among the early church, man has taken and used, and mingled with the high ideas of his own selfish ways. Some of this results in taking the Christian community’s offspring and sacrificing them before the altars of man and his humanistic idols. Ezek. 16:20, “Moreover you took your sons and your daughters, whom you bore to me, and these you sacrificed to them to be devoured. Were your acts of harlotry a small matter”?

The word “sacrificed” in the above verse, speaks of “offerings or instructions in the ways of carnal religious men; meaning the offspring is sacrificed, or taught to have the same mindset and to follow after the idols of carnal religious men.” These acts of whoredoms are not necessarily just sexual sins in a fleshly manner; rather they are also the giving of offerings, which includes their offspring, to the latest newfound doctrine that feeds the lustful desires of the natural carnal man.

Spiritual life that once dwelt in the midst of the Christian community is now absent and has become a place where death now reigns. How so you may ask. Where once the Spirit of God’s presence was evident, now entertainment, self-helps, purpose driven programs, purposed to build up the self-image has taken its place, and rules and reigns within the institution that they call the Church. Wherein the Spirit of God, which was once welcome into their midst to lead them, is now being sit aside and dismissed with man satisfied to rule over himself and do according to his own purposes.

Ezek. 16:27, “Behold, therefore, I stretched out my hand against you, diminished your allotment [spiritual food supply], and give you up to the will of those who hate you, the daughters of the Philistines, who were ashamed of your lewd behavior”. What kind of behavior is God speaking of here? Could it not be the same as when a wife gives herself to others outside her own husband? In this, the church is married to Christ and the church is the Christian community. As His wife, has the Christian community opened herself to receive any and all good sounding promotional campaigns to increase her fame, prosperity, numbers and importance among the worldly crowd? Is the Christian community trying to influence the world instead of trying to please God in their obedience to Him and His word? Ezek. 16:32, “You are an adulterous wife, who takes strangers instead of her husband”. Is she not bearing children of her many lovers instead of remaining faithful to her one true husband, Christ? Could the church be producing offspring (mind-sets) of the same nature as those spoken of in Nehemiah 13:24? These offspring no longer speak of or know the true ways of God. “And their children spoke half in the speech of Ashdod, and could not speak in the Jews language, but according to the language of each people”.

He has given us, as the true church of our God, this consolation, God’s promises are our assurance of a pure kingdom that shall arise from within the land (first our own bodies) and then afterwards establish God’s promised worldwide kingdom. In this promise from our Father, purification remains a necessity, which God is even now exacting upon this modern day Christian Community. Ezek. 16:37, “Surely, therefore, I will gather all your lovers with whom you took pleasure, all those you loved, and all those you hated; I will gather them from all around against you and will uncover your nakedness to them, that they may see all your nakedness”. God’s promised judgment comes even now, but God’s also extends His pure love. Even with the error of man’s ways revealed, God shall cleanse those of a willing heart. Those of a travailing nature are travailing because of the missing or replaced presence of God. Herein, these travailing ones shall know the day of their atonement.

Ezek. 16:60-63, “Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with you in the days of your youth [also the early church], and I will establish an everlasting covenant with you. Then you will remember your ways and be ashamed. … And I will establish my covenant with you. Then you shall know that I am the Lord that you may remember and be ashamed. … When I provide you atonement for all you have done”. Is not the time of restoration now come? In this, we say, yea and amen. Therefore, arise, stand up and be counted. Judgment stands at the door and God shall now, through His judgments bring the earth (natural man) and the heavens (spiritual man) together to establish God’s eternal kingdom throughout all of creation. In this, we shall see the kingdom of God inhabit the earth as heaven and earth kiss one another. According to what God has purposed in making man, there is to be one complete man, many in number as one, made into God’s likeness and image. Again, we say amen. Take note that Ezekiel is one of the main prophets who speaks of a leading up to and prophetically reveals the establishing of God’s kingdom reign on the earth.
