“The Power of Being Born Again”

“Born again”, is a statement that is often used, but one that is often short-circuited because of a failure to know the fullness of its power to make one whole. Upon repentance, a new order of life opens up to the believer in Jesus Christ. This phrase “born again” indicates much more for receiving man than forgiveness of past sins. Without this new birth, there is neither life nor relationship with God, but by being a part of the “new birth” experience, a new perspective comes as we begin to see the kingdom of God. God’s Word becomes clear, with the Holy Spirit’s works and wonders believed and experienced. Herein, we literally enter into a new realm where God’s new kingdom order is. Thus, this “new birth” is more than being “saved”. It is a requalifying experience, opening up the supernatural dimension of life and fitting us for a beginning in God’s kingdom order. Rom. 8:14 reveals that in this kingdom order there are those who are only lead by the Spirit of God, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God”. This phrase “led by the Spirit of God” describes the life-style of those who are the sons of God. This involves progressively putting to death the sinful appetites of the lower nature, the sin nature that resulted because of Adams fall. This implies that there are increasing degrees of allowing ones self to be led by the Spirit. The more fully a people become Holy Spirit led, the more completely will they be obedient to God and conform to His holy standards. Thus, we see a people coming into the power of His Word. This Word contains within itself the power to become a visible manifestation of the Christ who is that Word.

With the Word of God, having within itself the power to become, unto him that believes, that one can become the expression of God’s Word. This expressing the Word speaks of an indwelling character that glorifies the eternal Father and Christ Jesus our Lord. It speaks of moving into greater things, greater manifestations, a moving into the supernatural. John 14:12, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in me, the works that I do he will do also, and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father”. While God does not call on us to attempt to produce more by natural works alone, He does desire for us to ask and believe Him for a more productive life in the Spirit. This is the greater works He has in store for us to receive and, by His grace, achieve more for His kingdom’s purposes and glory.

A time and season of God is now upon us when He desires for His people to be completely and perfectly “born again”, which speaks of a “new birth” concerning the whole man, spirit, soul and body. God is now releasing from Himself, to men, a supernatural anointing to become those “born again” saints that move into the reality of being “born again”. John 3:7-8, “Do not marvel that I said to you, you must be born again. The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit”. This is speaking of a new creation that is dwelling in the order of the heavenlies while walking on the earth manifesting the nature of a supernatural God. The new creation is a man who loves God and His creation while going about establishing the kingdom of God. This is eternal life, knowing God in an intimate relationship and coming and going as the Father wills. John 17:3, “And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent”.

Such an open door, an open heaven, becomes available to those who become full of light. Luke 11:36, “If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, the whole body will be full of light, as when the bright shining of a lamp gives you light”. This speaks of every aspect of man’s make-up being delivered from the influence of this darken world. This speaks of the spirit, the soul (mind, will, emotions, desires) and the body being full of the light of God. This word “dark”, is metaphorical for spiritual, moral and intellectual darkness. This darkness arises from error, ignorance, disobedience, willful blindness, and rebellion. Remember, that darkness is an evil system opposed to the light. Nevertheless, unto him who walks upon the pathway of being “born again”, he walks in the light until the complete man becomes light. Becoming the light is becoming one in whom God can send forth. John 3:34, “For he whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure”. This speaks of the unlimited resources of God that are available to him that is “born again”.

Here stand a people who are finding their dwelling place in “the secret place of the Most High”, a people who are dwelling in the “Holy of Holies”, who are coming to the top of Mount Zion. Heb. 12:22, “But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels”. (Read Heb. 12:18-24). This means that a people have departed from a place of bondage through the deliverance made available by being “born again”. This people have passed from the realm of death into life. John 5:24, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears my word and believes in Him who sent me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life”. These are the promises, the plans that God has for His people. Memory should serve us well as we recall the work of God that has brought us to this time and season. We, set aside for this day for the bringing in of a better hope. A hope that acknowledges that God is well able to fulfill all that He has declared. Even as God has spoken it, so shall it be. Isa. 55:11a, “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void …” Therefore, what is God saying?

However, there is a prerequisite that is required unto those who are becoming that which God has purposed. The condition for receiving is the position of “believing”. Mark 9:23, “Jesus said to him, if you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes”. Therefore, believing is receiving and receiving is becoming that for which God has purposed. In this believing, we are “born again” spirit, soul and body to put on the house of completeness as we walk the pathway of the supernatural. These “born again” ones are a people who naturally manifest the supernatural as they fulfill that for which they are. Sons sent forth, in this season, when God has purposed to establish the kingdom of God in the earth. All other things shall pass away, but God’s word is eternal. Yes, His word is yea and amen, fulfilling in each believing vessel that for which God purposed. Vessels that are “born again” spirit, soul and body.
