Conditions do exist in today’s world that is boggling the mind as to the darkness that is eating up the intellectual carnal minded people of society. Some of these people, in high official places of authority, seem to be a people, because of this darkness, that are yielding to a destiny with a purpose, with a goal to destroy all that is good. In the beginning of creation, God declared that all was good. In this goodness God rested. Nevertheless, man, inspired completely through his fallen condition, has brought forth evil and corruption of great portions that stands in opposition to that which God purposed. Is all lost, is man destined for nothing but endless corruption, evil and darkness? Isa. 60:2 speaks of this darkness, but with it a great hope, “For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you”. Those of us who have placed our hope in that which God has spoken can now rejoice. For, a time has come; it is even now upon us, when darkness is reaching the end of its harvest. Darkness is finding its fulfillment, but in its fulfillment, God speaks of the coming forth of a great light. Gen. 1:2-3 reveals God’s purpose in the light, “The earth became without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, let there be light; and there was light”. God’s purpose, in this light, was to remove the darkness and bring restoration.
Light, the agent of God sent to dispel all darkness, is God’s law. His law is His nature and when set in motion His nature will bring fulfillment. God’s laws, when committed unto by His creation, are greater than all the lesser laws including darkness. For this cause, light overcomes darkness without fail. Note that the eternal word of God, when coming into the world as a man in the flesh, He was that light. John 1:4-5, “In Him [Jesus] was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it”. Comprehend, a word meaning, “To seize, lay hold of, overcome”. Thus, its meaning is that darkness does not gain control of light. The darkness is unreceptive and does not understand light. In addition, that darkness will never be able to eliminate the light. Thus, while light and darkness essentially are antagonistic, the Christians have joy in knowing that light is not only greater than darkness, but it will also outlast the darkness.
What is it therefore that God has purposed and promised? In Gen. 1:27-28a we read, “So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion …” “Replenish”, a word meaning “to make full or complete again, as by furnishing a new supply”. This means for us, that even though man fell into darkness, falling from the Garden of Eden, God shall make His creation full and complete again through the acts of His new creation man. “Subdue”, a word meaning, “To bring into subjection; conquer, vanquish, to overcome, as by persuasion”. The promises to the overcomers as written to the seven churches in the book of Revelation are also spoken of in Rev. 21:7, “He that overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be my son”. “Dominion”, another promise to be fulfilled, has the meaning of “rule or power to rule; sovereign authority; sovereignty”. This position of promise is a kingdom of God proclaimed as overcomers are destined to stand forth to rule and reign with Christ, as the kingdoms of this world of darkness becomes the kingdom of God, a kingdom of light. Rev. 11:15, “Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, the kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ [head and body], and He shall reign forever and ever”.
In the fulfillment of this declared word of God, we have another consolation. That is, that Jesus, Himself spoke forth the Father’s desire when He prayed a prayer in preparation for His return back into the Father’s dimension. John 17:20-24, “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world”. Does this scripture not confirm the truth that a place in God and His kingdom was and is for those in Christ before the creation of all these things? Therefore, any darkness is, by the light of God, eliminating the darkness and gross darkness through Christ the head and His body. These are coming forth in their proper season as they radiate the light of God among the darkness that dwells upon the minds of carnal men.
What time is it? What season are we in? Can we not observe the times and seasons of God to know that darkness has run its course, is coming to the fullness of its purpose and now the light of God will shine forth in greater measures. In this God has promised in Isa. 42:14-16, “I have held my peace a long time, I have been still and restrained myself. Now I will cry like a woman in labor, I will pant and gasp at once. I will lay waste the mountains and hills [man’s kingdoms], and dry up all their vegetation; I will make the rivers coastlands and I will dry up the pools. I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, and crooked places straight. These things I will do for them and not forsake them”. Here we see the promise of restoration, a coming into that which God promised from the beginning. A fulfilling of His word in manifesting a people in the fullness of those who replenish, subdue and take dominion. “Restoration” is a word meaning, “a putting or bringing back into a former, normal, or unimpaired state of condition”.
This is declaring a time of fulfillment of those things spoken. Col. 1:13 states this deliverance, “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love”. “Conveyed” is a word that speaks loudly of this inherited place that we have in the Christ. Its meaning is “to take from one place to another; transport; to make known; communicate in words, actions and appearance”. Is this not speaking to us of the transition from darkness into that realm of light? This is our rightful place in Christ, the fulfilling of the prayer of Jesus spoken of in John 17th chapter as quoted above. This is a chosen people coming forth to manifest the light of God unto a darkened world. 1 Peter 2:9 states, “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation. His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light”.
Again, I ask this question, what time is it? What season are we in? God has declared that even though darkness covers the earth and gross darkness the people, during this time of much despair, He would bring about the needed change. It is now time for change, not just for the forgiveness of man’s many past sins, but the changing of the whole man. Man needs a renewed spirit; he needs a changing of the soul, a restoration back to that of a living soul even as God, in the beginning, breathed into the first Adam. Also included is a new body as we see the Day of Atonement fulfilling its purpose to move the altar of incense through the veil to stand in the holy presence of the eternal God, within the Holy of Holies? This is a putting on of that new body spoken of by the Apostle Paul, which has been reserved for us in the heavens, that we might glorify God. 1 John 2:8 states, “Again, a new commandment I write to you, which things is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away, and the true light is already shining”.
This speaks loudly of that permissive gospel of darkness, which is now making place for the light, this true light that dispels the darkness of moral ignorance, of carnal mindsets and satanic bondages. Does the scripture not declare that in the midst of great darkness a light would shine? Is it not time for the birthing of God’s man-child (His many sons) who shall ascend into the dimension of God’s glory to dispel the darkness that eats up the minds of humanity? Even after this great falling away from God’s original intent, this light shall spring forth as likened to the rising of the sun. Isa. 58:8-12 says, “Then your light shall break forth like the morning, your healing shall spring forth speedily, and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard. Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; you shall cry, and He will say, here I am. If you take away the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness, if you extend your soul to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul, then your light shall dawn in the darkness, and your darkness shall be as the noonday. The Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. Those from among you shall build the old waste places; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to dwell in”.
Here God’s time has come when He takes away the yoke that has bound the generations through the seasons of God. These yokes speak of all forms of political, economical, social, educational and religious injustices. Here we see the change, a time of restoration that promotes and establishes the kingdom of God, which comes forth to replenish, to subdue and to take dominion of God’s creation. Let us therefore stand before God in all humility, with a contrite heart, seeking His voice that we might obey with a longing for the fulfillment of His dominion, the coming forth of His kingdom as destined to be over all the earth. This question then becomes necessary, what time is it?
