Understanding states that darkness, as spoken of by God in Isa. 60:2a is speaking of a people who, individually and collectively, have an absence of knowledge concerning God and His ways. “For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; …” Light is the product of knowledge concerning God’s ways and this speaks that darkness results in not knowing the ways of God. Nevertheless, God’s declaration in Isa. 60:1 speaks of a divine purpose spoken from God in releasing to humanity the light, which is the knowledge needed to become that light. “Arise; shine; for your light has come: For the glory of the Lord is risen upon you”. “Glory”, the Hebrew word “Kabod” has the meaning of “weight, splendor, radiance, majesty, honor and renown”. This is that which only comes through a people who walk in obedience to the leadership of the Holy Spirit. This is that which Jesus, the Christ, prayed for believers in John 17:22 that we might become one with Him. “And the glory which You [Father] gave Me [Jesus] I have given them, that they may be one just as we are one”. With “light” and “glory” being synonymous with one another, could it not be said that knowledge from God or light given brings forth a people who glorify God in their daily walk of obedience and submission to Him?
For the cause, that man made perfect in Christ, means God has released from Himself unto the man a word of promise that enables the man to become that for which He purposed. 2 Peter 1:2-4 states, “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceeding great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust”. These scriptures, speaking of knowledge or light, declare of an impartation of precise or further knowledge as the results of becoming thoroughly acquainted with God, speaking of true knowledge that comes through relationship. Does this not speak of more than a one-time event, a going beyond the time when first forgiven of our sins? Does it not speak of pursuing a daily moment-by-moment relationship with our heavenly Father as we get to know who He is, that we in turn might know whom we really are, asking where do I stand in my relationship with God?
The Christian community of today has the reputation of being a church wherein people live in a lukewarm condition. The world also declares that they have no need for the church because; it has a form of godliness only while denying the power of God. “Power” as declared in the above verse speaks of “an inherent power that has the ability to reproduce itself”. This carries the meaning for us from God who dwells within, a reproducing power exist to bring us to the light of God, a life of godliness that we might glorify God. When speaking of “life”, this life spoken of includes resurrection life and eternal life. These precious promises are given and through that intimate relationship with God, we begin to know completion and begin manifesting the divine nature of God. This separates man from the nature of corruption, which is the result in living in a world of lust that influences man daily.
What is man and what is the condition that he dwells in? Man separated from God, because of Adam and Eve’s fall; find themselves trapped into a natural world that controls their nature and the environment they live in. Is this the world that God purposed for His created man to live his life? Could it not be that God has a far greater plan for this man He created when declaring, “Let us make man in our likeness and image”? Paul, writing to the Corinthians declared that Adam was not just to live in that which was of the natural realm, but his beginning and purpose was to live in the spiritual realm of God as God breathed into him the breath of life, which is God life. Herein, Adam became a “living soul” one that was to relate to God on a spiritual level. Gen. 2:7, “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul”. But, did not man’s disobedience cause this “living soul” Adam to lose out on the living light covering that covered him? Adam then becomes a man of the dust realm, standing naked before God. In man’s fall, a departing from the spiritual to the natural realm of life took place and humanity now finds himself locked into the world of the natural. A world without hope until God, through the death of His first-born Son Christ Jesus made the way available back unto the “living soul” realm, back into the spiritual life God has purposed for His people.
1 Cor. 15:46-49 declares, “However, the spiritual is not first [because of being from the dust and the fall] but the natural, and afterward the spiritual. The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven. As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man”. Note that the realm of the sensual controls the natural man of dust who has become the serpent’s food. This sensual realm consists of lustful seeing, smelling, tasting, hearing and touching. The source of these senses is the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life. This sensual realm is the motivating factor of man’s life from birth, which includes the arena of our environmental influence, our economical standing, our social, educational, business and religious thinking. Nevertheless, unto the vessel that receives into their life the work of the cross and walks upon the progressive pathway God places any vessel on, they become a people motivated by the spiritual heavenly realm. This realm includes all the things that are in the divine sphere of God, which also includes the resurrected body. A body coming awake to again manifest the light radiance that emanates from the renewed living soul, a new nature which now affects the will, the mind, the desires and the emotions of the man to become likened into the nature of Christ. Heb. 8:10, “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my laws in their mind and write them on their hearts [soul, His laws are the manifestation of His nature]; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people”.
(Read Eph. 4:7-16) and consider the promise and purpose that God is willing to share with those who are willing to receive Him. In verse eight God speaks of Jesus Christ ascending on high after His death and resurrection. Eph. 3:18 speaks of a people being enabled to comprehend the width, length, depth and height of the things of God. Are these not dimensions God delights in revealing and bringing His people unto, that they might know Him in a more perfect way? Prior to Christ ascending, He first, according to verse nine of Eph. 4, descended into the lower parts of the earth. Could the earth spoken of here also be speaking of the earthy tabernacle which man is, that is speaking of our natural bodies? If so, He descended into the lower parts of our fallen nature for but one purpose. That is to bring change through deliverance from our prison houses, our fallen appetites, to a liberating place in the heavenlies to become liken unto that first born Son. Herein, unto the receiving ones, He equips them with ministries, anointed by the Holy Spirit to edify all the body of Christ. This maturity, leaving behind the fallen sin-cursed vessel and becoming a vessel who is gaining knowledge, the light of God matures such a people into the same perfect man in Christ fullness of stature. Speaking of the perfect man, no longer of the earth or dust realm, but now ascended into the heavenly realm, the nature of Christ manifesting the visible expression of the invisible God. Meaning that we no longer yield too the evil teachings of every wind of doctrine, but we now manifest the pure love of God.
Is this to good to be true, that God has purposed a people for this place in Him before the foundation of the world. Eph. 1:3-5 shouts, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the pleasure of His will”. Note that this purpose, in Him, is according to the pleasure of His will. Meaning that God does not fight to keep us out of His promises but He supplies all that we have need of to usher us in. Along with this love spoken of in this verse, when being exercised, we can begin to see another key God gives us. “Obedience is better than sacrifice”. Does this not speak of ceasing all things in our own efforts, in trying to please God through many sacrifices, while we can simply ask Him to make any changes necessary from a fallen soul to a living soul, the receiving of His nature? Know that God, through man being tested, reveals to the man that which dwells within which is not pleasing to God. Therefore, knock, seek and ask for help in this time of testing, for God will bring change as testing reveals our need. Yes, perfection time has come, it is now upon us, a time to stand forth and receive that which God has made available. That is to say, the divine government of God has arrived unto those who would receive Him and unto them; they are awaken to know who they really are in the Christ.
Let us take note of two occasions when God’s divine government made an appearance, the coming forth of the light of knowledge among a people. (Read Luke 8:40-56). With the number twelve speaking of God’s divine government, that which makes perfect, let us take notice of these two events that speak loudly to us of events taking place among a people of today. A woman, which speaks of the church, is having a problem with life, an issue of blood causing her to lose what life she has while spending all that she had for correction, or healing. However, her physicians, the ministry available were unable to be of any real help. Luke 8:43, “Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any”. What condition is the church order in today? Where is the life that flowed through the church at her beginning? The church order has been losing its life (blood) because of its being out of order with God, with no help coming from most of today’s ministers. Nevertheless, a determination is arising from within a portion of the church. If I could but touch the border of His garment (glory) I will be made whole (perfect). This portion of the church is finding it necessary to press their way through the crowd of traditional doctrines and the religious philosophies of man to draw life from the divine government of God. This source of life, as it flows in the midst of this pressing people, is making its appearance. This is a people who, being made perfect, they are recognizing this truth; their life is in the Christ and not in the works of man. These know that God is a God not far off, but is in the ever present now.
Then another conformation event comes forth as Jesus, God’s divine government in the form of a man, continues on to Jairus’s house. Jairus’s twelve-year-old daughter lay ill and the message brought them was that the daughter was now dead. Is this not the message coming from of a large portion of the world as they see the church? A church that is dead and no longer seems to be of any value and they question, is it really needed. However, there remain a people of God’s choosing, those who rise into kingdom life and they are receiving food to meet the occasion. Luke 8:52-55, “Now all wept and mourned for her; but He [Jesus] said, do not weep; she is not dead, but sleeping. And they ridiculed Him [even as God’s true word is being ridiculed today], knowing that she was dead. But He put them all outside [separating her from the mindset of the world and its religious activities], took her by the hand and called, saying little girl, arise. Then He commanded that she be given something to eat”.
This divine government of God is again appearing among the so-called Christian community to awaken a people, a first fruits that are now being born as the man-child, and is beginning to make an appearance. This awakening of those sleeping, those seemingly dead, are the harvest that has been prepared to again receive life and food of the heavenlies. Perfection time has come and we hear the sound of the kingdom as it makes its appearance. This coming is the coming forth in the nature of Christ, becoming the finished product to awaken the earth to its new and restored purpose, a kingdom that lives forever and ever without end. This is bringing forth all that God has purposed from the beginning. Thus unto the first fruits, the birthing of that man-child has come. An ascension time is upon us to arise and shine for it is time for the perfected light of God to appear in and through this people. To this, we say, yea and amen.
