We, the people living on the earth as it is today, are in an age of much despair. Many are asking questions such as, what am I here for and what is my purpose for being here? God speaks of a time, in the scriptures, when such as this type of uncertainty would exist. Despair, when people would be unable to find happiness, peace, or contentment. Most people seem to lack any type of understanding as to what is really going on or happening. This condition seems to agree with the word spoken in Isa. 60:2a, “For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people….” Does this not seem to be the way of most people today? Having a lack of spiritual enlightenment is becoming a way of life for most. Because of the lack of spiritual understanding, real purpose in life is sadly lacking. Humankind has built a world for themselves with nothing being withheld. However, even with everything being made available, most of human kind find in themselves a vast void, a void that the activities and possessions which the world offers is unable to fill. Therefore, in a continual search for fulfillment outside of God, darkness increases through each generation until we find ourselves living in the time of the end of said world.
Meanwhile, in the midst of it all, God has promised unto us a Deliverer. He has declared that a new seed, a new generation, would be birthed that would overcome the adversary and establish a completely new world. This Deliverer of promise is the promised Abraham’s true spiritual seed who is now coming forth. This seed shall establish God’s kingdom, shall rule with Him, and have dominion over the kingdom. These rulers are the chosen ones called before hand for these last days, to usher in a new world, the kingdom of God. It is for this cause that we are even now hearing His voice, “Arise, shine; for the light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee, … but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee”. (Isa. 60:1 & 2b).
God’s trumpet is sounding and a redeemer is coming forth, to redeem and establish. It is time for the spiritual house of Israel to ascend into the heavenlies (the spiritual realms), to be raised from the earth realm of time into the realm of eternal life. This redeemer, the Christ, Head and body, shall and is even now coming forth. “And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the Lord, as for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the Lord; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith the Lord, from henceforth and forever”. (Isa. 59:20-21). Every man shall come forth, each after his own order, to know the Father. Zion is God’s great dwelling place among the earth. Zion, God’s place of glory, is the place where God is manifesting Himself through His sons. He is returning to redeem Zion so all others, through Zion might also be redeemed. God is redeeming these, by His revealed Word, by His truth coming forth with great understanding. Can you not hear the sound? The trumpet is blowing loud and clear. This is the day of assembly unto Zion, the place of His glory.
“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32). Free, free, free. Free from what and free to do what? How is it that we are to gain the freedom spoken of here? The prerequisite is given in John 8:31a, “…If you continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;” This word “continue” means “to abide,” which is a word of action. It means we must not only hear, but also actively be a participator in that word until it forms its expression in us. These, who continuing in His word to become His disciples are learners of Him. These learners are a people who have been found by Him and seek after Him, foremost, above all other things. Thus, this freedom, spoken of in the above scripture, could be speaking of a freedom from that which brought us under bondage in the old Adam man, the fallen natural man. It could be speaking of liberation from self, all selfish motives to desire Him alone. Thus, seeking the truth liberates the vessel from every hindering power to become the truth itself. Remember, we are to seek first the Kingdom of God, and all else is added unto us. How is this possible, just by seeking Him first in all things.
Where, can humanity find this truth? There are many truths, but they all are not necessarily a truth that liberates unto God. Truth tells us that gravity causes all things to fall to the earth, when loosed from any power keeping it from falling. Consider an apple, when loosed from a tree, it falls. However, that truth does not necessarily liberate you from bondage. It is a truth that all humanity is sinners after the fallen Adam nature. However, that truth alone, by itself, does not make you free. Nevertheless, the knowledge of the truth that Jesus died for our sins and by the receiving of Him into our hearts, He will cleanse and liberate us from our sins. This truth, when applied can make us free; it can liberate us from sin and can move us into a new life style. Therefore, while some truth only makes us aware, only the knowledge of the truth when applied will make us free. What then is “the truth”? “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life …” (John 14:6). Now, could it not be that the above scripture only makes us aware of something, that Christ Jesus is the truth? The knowledge that He is the truth alone does not liberate us. However, by becoming intimately acquainted with Him, be receiving and experiencing Him (who is the truth); this is what makes us free. Therefore, our goal, along with Paul is, “That I may know him and the power of his resurrection …” (Phil. 3:10). Do you desire to know Him? Is He your main goal? If so, “…When he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come, He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine and show it unto you”. (John 16:13-14). God is more that willing to show us the truth. The Holy Spirit, Himself, will guide and lead us into all the truth. He will quicken the truth and when we yield unto it, it will cause us to gain the experience.
We have obtained an inheritance, predestinated according to God’s purpose, which is after the counsel of His own will. After hearing the truth and trusting in Christ, He seals us with the Holy Spirit of promise when we believe. Eph. 1:13-14 tells us, “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise. This promise is the earnest of our inheritance, until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.” The prerequisite of obtaining our predestinated inheritance is trusting in the word of truth after hearing and believing. This same Holy Spirit, who seals us unto that word of promise, will also quicken the word of truth. The receiver will then become a visible expression of an invisible truth. God has declared in John that He, the Spirit of promise, would lead us unto all truth. In the above scripture, this same Spirit also seals us unto the fullness of our inheritance. This word “sealed” implies possession or security, as well as being a distinctive mark. Being sealed symbolizes a finished transaction, ownership, and security. Thus, we can begin to rest in a truth, that God, who has began a good work within us shall complete that which He began. He chose, He called and is now at work as the power of the Holy Spirit is bringing us into the finished purchased possession, the redemption of our bodies, a distinctive mark.
Have you ever felt the anointing of God stirring in you? Has conviction made you aware that you have a need for something more in God? Does the Holy Spirit minister to you concerning the Word of God? Do you feel incomplete in your walk with the Father? Could it be that God has purchased for you the promise of an inheritance, which He now works in you to perform it, to bring it unto the time of receiving the possession? Let us not allow the doctrines and traditions of man to hinder us. Let us allow the old Adamic nature to die through yielding our members unto God. “And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour [uproar], and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice; and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you”. (Eph. 4:30-32).
Read and study Rom. 8:18-23, and understand that we are sealed, that we are a purchased possession, a finished transaction, to manifest unto full adoption. Rom. 8:23 declares, “….but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body”. Being “sealed” becomes the earnest of our redemption. “Sealed” is a fulfilling and sealing until the redemption of the purchased possession. As Phil. 3:20-21 states, “For our conversation [citizenship] is in heaven [the spiritual, invisible], from whence also we look [eagerly wait for] for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: who shall change [transform, or change the fashion of] our vile body, that it may be fashioned like [to be conformed] unto His glorious body, according to the working whereby He is able even to subdue all things unto Himself”. How many are eagerly looking for Him? As revelation reveals unto us the Saviour, Christ Jesus, we, by the power of that revelation, become that which we see. Do you see Him, and are you changed? When the noise of the world grows silent, in those quite times, does not that longing for the Christ surface?
Seek Christ first and all other things, He adds unto you. As we seek him, our understanding increases and our eyes began to see. Revelation begins to reveal the mysteries of God and we begin to know. We become thoroughly acquainted with Him and see the truth of His Word. We see in the truth of His word, what is the hope of our calling, which is, a call into Sonship and our acceptance as sons in the Beloved Son. We begin to understand what the riches of the glory of His inheritance are in the saints. We become His peculiar treasure and we begin to know the exceeding greatness of His power in us. We begin to experience our place with Him in the heavenlies, far above all powers, and dominions. With Him, we shall know the experience of having all things put under the feet of the Christ, the head and body. For scripture says, that we are His body, the fullness of Him that fills all things. (Read and study Eph. 1:15-23).
In the beginning, before the foundation of the world, God’s will and purpose was spoken and all things began to come into being, according to it’s time and season. He called and He chose. He brought forth the adversary to fulfill his purpose. He set into motion the way of salvation, through the Lamb chosen before the foundation of the world that a people would come forth in the likeness of His image. Thus, that which He began, as the First and the Last, we shall find it finished. We shall see all things coming forth in their order, the redemption of the body, by the power of His resurrection, raising us up to become His glorious body. Thus, we have this assurance, because He began, He shall likewise finish. A sealing unto the purchased possession is the day of His appearance, when He, in His sons, the many member body of Christ, appears. For this cause, we now know the workings of the Holy Spirit, to bring about the justifying, which is ours in Him. We can now begin to pray, Father, give us back the glory that we had in you before we came into this world. Come forth quickly.
